As on my 84 y.old in raised heavy item am felt leg buckled,and in a still half year an other leg buckled.Since my knees joints are hurt, but they are not swollen, not hurt in touching, just am sat they are not hurt, but in wake up they are strong hurt. And injections, gels, ointments are helped for hour , surgeries shared,that my joints are weared out, but because of my age am not interesting in theirs changing. And one problem is not attacks, as on 2020 in January am fractured a neck for hip, surgery was been good, sieve faster healed, am used walkers, three weeks my legs are bandaged and when bandages removed am felt in a knee of right leg am felt hurt irradiating in feet, leg from a knee till feet ,like a wood, as am feeling hard to walk, wear sock, and not having stability in knee , and in my bed leg rising with my belt, am though not used walkers, but not ability... Am sure ,that joints a not curing in whole, maybe relieve hurt in surgeries leg.
As for relieve hurt and improve joint function you are needing using a course for physiotherapy, but limiting having in accompanying diseases, thus a physio therapeutist consult too needing answers doctor, orthopaedist, practice by a physical culture Kroshina.
And if in you case is possible using prothesis of synovial liquid as injections in ache joint of artificial joint liquid and courses for anti inflammation therapy and vitamin therapy. And also for you can to offer using chondro protectors, but they are not having evidence for effect. 2. As lie on the spine, rise leg and not very higher, and on the weight bend and bend out knee joint, and same approaches on. and on 5-7 times .
3.Stand up to support, as with one hand keeping for a door s jamb and doing swings with legs ,as not fast, to the front and back, side ,alternately with every leg on 5-7 times, slowly lead till 12.
As all exercises doing slowly, with a fast moves, listen own feelings, doing theirs as and feeling comfort, if something hurt causing or discomfort,thus do not use his within a few days.
And about a hurt in hip joint rising after surgery, visit a neurologist,as to exclude neuritis for sciatic nerve by a fibula type /as very rare having after surgery on a hip joint, or if his is confirmed,thus use a cure. And take attention on a gymnastic in a issue which am shared,as fell, woke up, gypsum about a conservative cure for fractures a neck for hip ,and begin doing her since begin. But better exercises will be with instructor and checker specialist rehabilitologist.
