Pomegranate. A small tree or shrub. The leaves are opposite, shiny, leathery, oblong-lanceolate. The flowers are purple, rarely white or yellowish. Blossoms in May-June. Fruit - round, with leathery pericarp white or greenish color. Fruiting in September-October. Seeds are bright red, juicy, sweet-sour taste.
Pomegranate fruits are rich in citric, malic and oxalic acids. They also contain tannin and pectin. Dried pomegranate fruit peel contains volatile, tannic and pectin, and therefore used in the treatment of diarrhea, enteritis, ulcerative colitis. As a medicinal plant used the roots, bark, flowers, fruits, juice and pericarp. Roots harvested in autumn, the bark of branches - in the spring, flowers - in June and July, the fruit when ripe. Flowers andpericarp have astringent and anti-inflammatory action. The bark is used to expel worms. The fruit and juice have diuretic, choleretic, analgesic, anti-inflammatory and vitamin action.

Drink 1-2 glasses of pomegranate juice a day.
DIARRHEA
Pour 1 tablespoon chopped pericarp or pomegranate flowers 1 cup water, boil water bath for 15 minutes, insist 2 hours, strain. Take 2 tablespoons 3 times a day before meals.
Pour 1 tablespoon of ground pomegranate peel 1 cup boiling water, boil on low heat for 10 minutes, remove from heat, cover, let stand for 10 minutes, then strain and drink a whole cup of broth at once.
