Red Currant is Ribes Rubrum is a perennial bush by Gooseberry family, on 2-3 metres by high, with grey-brown shoots and leaves,like teeth with 3-5 blades. Blooming on May by small green -yellow flowers as formed in brushes. Berries are juicy, sour, clear-red , preparing in July-August.
As transparent sour berries and less saturated smell, by vitamins, micro-elements , she is not inferiors for an own relative black currant. She is a stock of vitamins and micro-elements ,as vitamin C, as less, than in black currant, but more, than in lemon, vitamins A,K,E,B groups, calium, iron, pectins, mg, phosphorus , and organic acids as lemon, and amber, antioxidants, coumarines, thanks for rich structure she strengthens immunity, improves cardiovascular work, lows cholesterol, digestion improves, diuretic, anti fever, and helps in anaemia .
Her use in official and alternative medicine. As recommending in avitaminosis, gastrointestinal diseases for peristaltic stimulation, appetite better, gout, rheumatism , urea acid removing, in cold, and inflammation for sweating and lowering temperature, strengthening vessels in atherosclerosis and hypertension . For immunity rising use common strengthening infusion of 200 gr fresh or frozen berries add in one l. of the hot water, infuse 30 min, filter, add 2 tbl.sp. of honey, and use one glass for 2-3 times/day , course are 2-3 weeks.
One tbl.sp. of dried leafs add in one tea.sp. of green or black tea, add 300 ml. of the hot water, infuse 15 min, filter, add honey by taste, use tea for 2-3 times/day within 2-3 weeks.
In cold, high body temperature use 2 tbl.sp. of fresh or dried berries in one tbl.sp. of tilia flowers, add 250 ml. of hot water, infuse 20 min, filter, and use 1/2 glass for 3 times/day , course by feeling.
One tbl.sp. of red currant berries and one tea.sp. of mint or chamomile pharmacy, add 300 ml. of water , lead till boiling, cook 5 min on weak fire, infuse 15 min, filter, use on 100 ml. before meal, for 2-3 times/day, course by feeling.
For strengthening vessels and lowering cholesterol.
200 gr of fresh berries chop, add 100 gr of sugar, add 500 ml. of vodka, infuse 3 weeks, dark place in. Filter, use one tbl.sp. for 1 times/day after meal within month.
In ache joints, gout.
100 gr of fresh berries chop, add one tbl.sp. of honey, apply on ache joint, close gauze and keep 30-40 min, use for 2-3 times/week, course by feeling.
In edemas.
2 tbl.sp. of dried leafs of a red currant, and one tbl.sp. bear berry ,add 500 ml. of water, boil 10 min on weak fire, infuse hour, filter, use on 100 ml. for 3 times/day before meal for 2 weeks.
Rejuvenating mask for face.
1tbl.sp. of chopped berries add in one tea.sp. of fromage { for dry skin , or egg white is for oily skin, apply on face for 15 min, wash away after. Use for 1-2 times/day for refreshing and whitening skin.
Contraindications!
Avoiding red currant using in stomach and bowel ulcer, gastritis, hepatitis, low blood coagulation, pregnancy, and take care in high sensitiveness of teeth enamel, and in a red colour of berries is possible allergy!
